That's right, this week on Popcorn Therapy we were blasting Josie and the Pussycats (2001). Listen in as we discuss pop stars who were almost in this movie, imposter syndrome, parasocial relationships, rampant consumerism, and Pedro Pascal. With a special bonus of Shade and Chelsey watching a movie about brainwashing produced by MTV while being further and further brainwashed into being nostalgic for MTV.
Josie and the Pussycats was written and directed by Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan, with a special credit to Richard Goldwater of Archie Comics.The movie starred Rachael Leigh Cook, Rosario Dawson, Tara Reid, Alan Cumming, Parker Posey, Gabriel Mann, Paulo Costanzo, and Missi Pyle.

Rafiki was directed by Wanuri Kahiu. She is also a co-writer along with Jenna Cato Bass.
